I had to read that prose very thoughtfuly to understand what it said. I had to look up "Austronesian" to find out it had nothing with an "Austrian" based language. Congrats on being published!
Heh, yeah, Academic Linguistics is a foreign language in which I'm not yet fully fluent myself.
